Scott Kline

Dr. Scott Kline, PhD, is Associate Professor in Religious Studies at St. Jerome’s University in the University of Waterloo. His research focuses on religious ethics and public policy, particularly in Canada and the United States. He is the author of The Ethical Being: A Catholic Guide to Contemporary Issues (Novalis, 2013) and has published on diverse topics, including the culture wars in the United States, the ethics of peacemaking, and systems level approaches to homelessness. During the 2021-2022 academic year, he is the inaugural Visiting Scholar in Ethics at St. Mark’s College at UBC and Provident Health Care. His current projects centre on the role of faith-based organizations in approaches to homelessness and community responses to sudden cardiac arrest. In his free time, he spends time road cycling, running, and travelling.
